Students from St. Joseph’s Grammar recently took part in the annual Armagh Diocesan Pilgrimage to Lourdes under the watchful guidance of Miss Anne Fitzgerald. The children greatly benefited from the experience and were commended by everyone on their warmth, compassion and generosity. Below are a number of images from the pilgrimage.
Two Year 8 ladies teams took part in the annual blitz in MUSA. Both teams were excellent in the group stages. Team JJ, captained by Áine Gallagher and VC Kila Kirby were very a class act and extremely competitive winning 3 games out of 4, narrowly missing out on a semi-final place on points difference.
Team Turner, captained by Eva Corr and VC Áine Ní Éignigh stormed through the group stages topping the group with 3 wins and a controversial draw. They were excellent throughout and were beaten in a closely fought semi-final encounter with the Dean Maguirc, Carrickmore.
The students really were a credit to the jersey and the school. The future is bright for ladies football with these girls around. Maith sibh!
