The Art & Design Department is a lively and vital component of the school. The Department aims to contribute to the overall development of pupils and each pupil is encouraged to develop his and her specific talents to the full. There are many opportunities for pupils to produce creative design and fine art pieces in 2D and 3D, using both traditional and modern techniques and media.
Exhibitions and Workshops
Our pupils are always inspired by visits to the RUA and True Colours Exhibitions.
(At the Ulster Museum)
Meeting and working with artists and craftspeople such as Diane McCormick, Andrea McCullough, Teresa Poyntz, Chris Wilson and JB Vallely gives our pupils an understanding into the importance of Art & Design in our everyday lives and real insight into career opportunities in the Creative Industries.
