What does COPE involve?

Pupils will take responsibility for planning, organising and carrying out a number of challenges in order to demonstrate their skills development and will under the supervision of a teacher, build up a portfolio of evidence for moderation.

How will  COPE benefit me?

This course enables candidates to develop a range of personal and employability skills leading to personal effectiveness.  Candidates are able to use their enrichment experiences, both in and out of school to receive formal recognition and accreditation of their activities in year 13. Successful completion and moderation of the portfolio leads to 70 UCAS points.

How will COPE help my career prospects?

Students who complete COPE are well prepared for university life and have developed transferable skills that will improve their employment prospects.  Courses similar to COPE have been developed for university undergraduates as third level institutions recognize the importance of their students acquiring and developing the practical skills that will make them more employable in the future.
